The goal of the JVL Project was to increase the contribution of Jordanian women and youth to Jordan’s economic growth. This was accomplished by improving the entrepreneurial and business acumen of women and youth and by reducing their barriers to entry (market and societal/cultural) for enterprise development.
Our “Cultivating Opportunities in the Valley: JVL Stories of Change” booklet is a compilation of stories from selected women and youth who participated in the project and were empowered through entrepreneurship. The stories are organized by sector and highlight women and youth’s experiences and the financial and social challenges they faced along their entrepreneurial journey.
We hope that these stories will illustrate to you how the power of knowledge and market access can strengthen the potential of women and youth to create change within their communities and contribute to their country’s economy.
