Today we start our Women’s International Day Campaign.Celebrating all the powerful and inspiring Women in the world. Farah Chandani, MEDA Senior Project Manager WA/shares with us inspiring words to support, empower and challenge into an equal world for everyone.
نبدأ اليوم احتفالنا بيوم المرأة العالمي من خلال حملة على مدار الأسبوع نسلط فيها الضوء على الكثير من القصص الملهمة والنساء الناجحات من الأردن.اليوم، تشاركنا فرح شنداني مديرة المشاريع في ميدا الاحتفال بهذا اليوم مؤكدة على دعمها للمرأة وإيمانها بضرورة تساوي الفرص للجميع في سبيل تحقيقاحلامهم.

السيدات من أكثر الاشخاص تأثراً بجائحة كورونا وخصيصاً الامهات منهن، حيث تضاعفت مسؤلياتهن وواجباتهن في المنزل كأمهات ومعلمات، وكذلك واجباتهن في أعمالهن و غيرها الكثير و الكثير من المهام.هبة خوري المدير المالي في مشروع روابط وادي الاردن تشاركنا الاحتفال في يوم المرأة العالمي وتحدثنا عن تجربتها في وقت الجائحة وكيف استطاعت أن توازن بين جميع مسؤولياتها
One of JVL benefited clients; Samia Shatti a wife, a mother of two girls and a businesswoman living in balqa Shares with us her empowering experience during the Covid pandemic “After starting to be well known for my pickles and catering services, all events and gatherings got prevented during the lockdown. I could barely sell pickles for extra ten days, and there was no access for new raw material. I noticed that there is no grocery shop in my whole neighborhood, so I rented a small old caravan and switched it to a grocery shop attached to my house. To avoid money exchange and make it easier for my customers to pay, I created an e-wallet and started to encourage my customers to use it. After lifting the confinement, my husband, who already has a convenient store in another area, confidently connected me with most of the wholesalers that he works with. Now the situation is much better with my family and husband support am always able to provide and empower”.
أمية المستريحي او كما تلقب بالمرأة الخارقة من قبل اولادها وزوجها لقدرتها الدائمة على التفوق على اي صعوبات قد تواجهها ونجاحها المستمر وابداعها في عملها الخاص تشاركنا الاحتفال بيوم المرأة العالمي مؤكدة للجميع ان الإرادة الحقيقية والنجاح لا حدود لها.
محمودة الديات واحدة من السيدات المستفيدات من مشروع روابط وادي الاردن والتي تعرضت لتجربة انفصال و مع اطفالها الستة الحياة أصبحت صعبة جداً و خصيصا ً أثناء الجائحة.”لقد قررت ان افتتح محل صغير لي في لبيع الادوات المنزلية وبهذا استطعت ان اوفر دخل لي ولاطفالي”محمودة فخورة بما انجزته مؤكدة انه مهما كانت المصاعب التي قد تواجه المرأة تستطيع ان تتغلب عليها وتواجه التحديات اي كانت!
When a women gets the support she needs she can #challenge and overcome all obstacles. “I was a soft skills trainer. My work was not stable, but I wanted to create my own business. When MEDA introduced the idea of being LED lamps sales representative, I loved the idea because I had never seen in my life a woman selling lamps. It is a profession dominated by men. I attended the training, but the lockdown took place before receiving the lamps. My husband works in a hotel and all tourism work was hugely impacted with the widespread pandemic I had to take action. I thought that winter was ending, and summer was coming. I started bringing clothes and hygienic kit to sell to my neighbors.. After the lockdown, I received the lamps and now I sell the two different types of products. “My husband appreciates all of what I do and tries to help me with the marketing and the financial management of my business.”
