FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HARRISBURG, Pa. – In an effort to bring together their shared values and commitments, MEDA - Mennonite Economic Development Associates – and Everence® are proud to announce a new partnership that enables the Everence Advisor of the Year award winner to visit a MEDA project in a developing country.
Matt Novak, CFA®, Everence Financial Advisor from Souderton, Pennsylvania, was recognized as the Advisor of the Year at the 2016 Everence National Conference in April. As part of the honor, Novak will have the opportunity to participate in an upcoming MEDA Field Experience trip to Nicaragua, to view firsthand the ways Everence members can help create business solutions to poverty.
“We’re excited about partnering with Everence to promote opportunities for advisors to see MEDA projects,” said Dave Warren, Chief Engagement Officer at MEDA. “I’m really impressed that Everence has invested in the professional growth and development of their employees.”
“The close relationship between Everence and MEDA is natural in a number of ways,” added Ken Hochstetler, President and CEO of Everence. “Members of both our organizations are interested in living out their faith and values in tangible ways that make an impact. We are glad to further deepen this commitment together.”
MEDA Field Experience trips allow supporters to witness how MEDA is working to create opportunities for people living in poverty around the world. The Field Experience trip to Nicaragua will feature visits to MiCredito, a MEDA-founded microfinance institution, and its clients throughout the country.
