Youness MoroccoYouness Ouzzine, 28, studied in a vocational training center after high school and got his diploma as a drafting technician for construction. Youness lives with his brother and mother in a village called Ain Cheggag, near Fes.

"The three-day training in financial education and entrepreneurship offered by ARDI in partnership with MEDA Maroc was really important to all the youth who benefited from it in this rural, neglected village. The training helped me to learn about budgeting, saving and how to start my own business," said Youness.

"I had a diploma in technical drawing for construction and I often thought about practicing my skills and starting my own business but I was unsure. The training
helped me decide. I submitted my application for a loan to ARDI just after the training. I got the loan and I used it to buy a computer that I used to develop and make technical drawing of buildings, using web applications."

"This step has really a great impact in my life as I started to earn my own income through the drawings that I do in my computer."

When interviewed in April 2012: "Now, I have my own clients and I have the chance to work on many small construction projects. I have a constant income and I have much hope for my future."
