Virtual Business Tours
We are excited that this year’s virtual Convention allows us to “travel” to places we wouldn’t have been able to visit otherwise.
See manufacturing processes and meet with founders and CEOs to get an in-depth understanding of how these companies run. Business tour hosts will go beyond just telling the history of the company and include discussion of the values that influence how they run their business, as well as challenges and opportunities they have faced throughout the growth of their company.
HORSCH is one of the world's leading manufacturers of modern and innovative agricultural machinery. The company was founded in 1984 in Schwandorf, Bavaria. Since then, the company has been producing agricultural machinery which meets the highest standards and contributes to sustainable agriculture. The focus is on the development of products for soil cultivation, sowing and plant protection. The slogan "Agriculture with passion" is actively lived out by all of the approximately 1,700 employees worldwide, from production to management, and is not just an empty phrase. It perfectly describes the actions of every single employee. The 2019 financial year was the most successful in the company's still young history and sales of around 424 million euros were achieved. The export share is 81 %. The Horsch family still sees itself as farmers and runs its own 3000 ha trial farm in the Czech Kněžmost. On this farm different farming systems are tried out and the newly developed machines are tested under real conditions. Contact and exchange with customers worldwide has always been a top priority at HORSCH. Thanks to this high level of customer contact, HORSCH always knows which issues are of concern to farmers and what will play a role in the future. HORSCH is constantly working on new developments in order to continue to meet these future demands on agriculture.Close

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
DAVID N SEYLER
Since our founding in 1966, Riverside Brass & Aluminum Foundry Limited has continued to build on a tradition of casting excellence in our hometown of New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada.
Our team brings a unique level of technology and craftsmanship to all orders, ensuring top-quality service from start to finish.
At Riverside Brass, the customer is always included as part of the team. We can advise on product design, choice of alloys, and the cost saving advantages of our manufacturing process.
At Riverside Brass, our goal is to make a good product better for our customers.
Founded in nearby Cambridge, partners Ervin Steinmann and the late Elmer Schlegel, moved their fledgling foundry business to the former Hahn Brass Works on Waterloo Street in New Hamburg in 1969. For Ervin, now retired, it was a homecoming. He was returning to the place where he had first worked in the industry and mastered the casting trade.
For more than five decades, Riverside Brass can truly claim to have moved with the times. The original workforce of just 2 is now over 125. The early client list, dominated by two customers, has risen to over 100. In recent years, the business has consolidated its focus on the manufacturing sector producing a wide range of quality industrial castings for major North American customers, primarily serving the water and electrical markets. In 2010, Riverside developed and opened a brass, bronze and aluminum plaque division. It serves Government, heritage, special event, cemetery and memorialization markets. Riverside Brass is a long standing supporter of MEDA and as a longstanding tradition has cast bronze MEDA bookends for the annual convention auction raising significant funds for MEDA’s work.Close
