Support our Project!
The Equitable Prosperity Through Private Sector Development (EPTPSD) project or Maendeleo Sawa (M-Sawa) is focused on supporting economic growth in Kenya through working with small entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the agriculture, construction, and extractives sectors. MEDA’s goal is to reach 20,000 entrepreneurs and strengthen the profitability and competitiveness of 250 SME’s/Lead Firms assisted. The project and its partners will employ a lead firm approach, targeting SMEs which have the potential to impact a large number of smallholder farmers, small entrepreneurs and other SMEs in their supply chains. The project will also encourage businesses to use more environmentally-friendly technologies and practices and to pay particular attention to supporting women-led businesses and improved gender practices.
Witness the incredible outcomes of community growth that occurs when people living in poverty have the tools they need to develop their businesses. We invite your contributions to the MEDA Lancaster fundraising project!
Women Empowering Women
MEDA and the MEDA Lancaster have launched a women’s group, called “Women Empowering Women with MEDA,” which meets several times a year to promote the importance of women's economic empowerment as a catalyst for positive change in the world.
Women Empowering Women with MEDA provides an opportunity for women to learn about issues facing women in developing countries, as well as MEDA's projects that empower women to rise above social and cultural barriers toward improved livelihoods. Women who are members of Women Empowering Women with MEDA will have unique and meaningful opportunities to engage with MEDA projects in various countries around the world, including Ghana, Ethiopia, Ukraine, Nicaragua, and Kenya.
