Founded in 1999, IMON is one of the top microfinance providers in Tajikistan. Recent transformation, supported by dedicated governance and management, has allowed IMON to provide innovative products and services to an increasing number of clients while continuing to grow.
IMON operates through a widely dispersed network of branches and representative offices, providing consumer and business loans as well as leasing to formal enterprises in both urban and rural areas of western Tajikistan. The average loan is the equivalent of $1,500. IMON is transforming into a commercial bank by the end of 2015.
IMON is dedicated to promoting sustainable development by providing access to essential financial services. Through its 135 branches, the organization offers a wide range of products, including loans for businesses, agriculture, consumers, start-ups, rural household development, machinery and home improvements. IMON's loan portfolio has grown to $135 million.
In 2015, IMON will implement a new IT system and processes to support its transformation to a full bank by year's end.
