In 2005, the Government of Ontario enacted the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and in 2011, as part of the AODA, the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) was released. The purpose of the AODA and the IASR is to provide Ontarians with disabilities with equal access to goods and services that respects their dignity, individuality, independence, and value.
MEDA is committed to removing barriers to create a workplace that is accessible and enables its employees to reach their full potential. As part of its commitment to inclusion and accessibility, MEDA has created an AODA Multi-Year Accessibility Plan. The plan outlines the policies that MEDA will put in place to improve opportunities for people with disabilities in accordance with the requirements of the AODA and IASR.
