Welcoming our new interns

MEDA recently welcomed four new interns for orientation at the Waterloo office. Dan Albrecht, Jeremy Roth, and Zach Jama, from right to left, are working in Tanzania for eight months, and David Magbee, left, is doing a five-month internship with the Member Engagement department based in the Lancaster office. These are not CIDA-funded internships, but funding is made possible through the generous support of MEDA members.
Jeremy is working as a health liaison. After graduating from Rockway Mennonite Collegiate, Jeremy completed an Honors BA from University of Western Ontario in Health Sciences and an International Project Management Postgraduate Certificate from Humber College. Jeremy has undertaken a cultural exchange in China, taught English in Thailand and attended a Mennonite history tour in Germany.
Dan, who has a BBA Hons from Wilfrid Laurier University, has taken on the business development/writer position. Dan most recently was with a technology start-up after working with RIM for almost three years. Having spent part of his youth in Bolivia as his parents served with MCC, he increased his international exposure through a summer living in Belfast, where he worked as a research assistant.
Zach has an Honors degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and joins us as the IT Associate. Zach spent a semester studying in Singapore and has travelled throughout Southeast Asia.
David, the Member Engagement intern in Lancaster, has just completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business and Spanish from Goshen College. David participated this past year in the MEDA convention Student Case Competition, and therefore is uniquely prepared to work on the convention and business development activities involved in this internship in Lancaster.
