MEDA is on the front lines of a new $21 million project in Tanzania to get young children sleeping under life-protecting malaria nets over the next two years. MiCrédito offers sustainable financial services to micro, small producers and urban businesses that have limited or no access to credit through Nicaragua's formal financial system. MiCrédito has disbursed loans valued at more than $12 million since its inception in 2004. Currently, its six branches have almost 3,000 clients, with 4,000 outstanding loans. The average loan size is $1,175.
