This month's feature video: Zambia

MEDA videos are available for viewing through YouTube. This month's featured video is a MEDA Moment on Zambia.

Farmers in Zambia struggle to grow crops amidst prolonged drought and a lack of proper irrigation technology. With no capital for new equipment and little know-how, farmers face low yields and a discouraging future.

But a new MEDA project provides training and access to drip irrigation technology and treadle pumps, allowing crops to flourish and farmers to see a future. Watch on YouTube.

MEDA's World – Ann Gordon

Ann Gordon in Pakistan

In Pakistan, women often live in isolation – many are homebound and illiterate. Ann Gordon (pictured above - left), MEDA senior consultant and project manager, explains in this episode of MEDA’s World how MEDA is building on the success of a previous project called Behind the Veil with a new project. Pathways & Pursestrings focuses on women working in the embellished fabric, glass bangle, milk and seedling industry to bring them into the marketplace so they can start small businesses and help support their families.
