Former MEDA vice president Ed Epp, now of TourMagination, recently returned from leading a MEDA tour of Romania, Transylvania Emerging, April 21-May 2.
"It was unbelievable to go back after 10 years of starting CAPA," says Ed. "CAPA has been a huge success, exceeding all of our expectations. The local staff made it happen – they did a lot of work, and had a vision for CAPA and for their country."
CAPA was Ed's first project with MEDA: His first trip after joining MEDA was to Romania with president Allan Sauder. "I came back from that trip and wrote the proposal. We anticipated that it would have four branches and $4 million in loaned funds. – Now, CAPA has more than 30 branches and $30 million in assets."
