Attending MEDA's Business as a Calling convention is one of many ways that members engage with MEDA’s mission, values and programs.
"Convention often inspires our members to get engaged in new ways," says Howard Good, vice president of member engagement, "whether as an investor, a participant on an international tour, as a chapter attendee or connected more directly as a financial supporter of a MEDA project.
"I always say that MEDA convention is about fellowship, inspiration, learning new things and having a good time. The recent convention in Columbus met those goals in many ways as we programmed a variety of new features while continuing much of the longstanding character of our convention.
"At the end of the day we hope convention attendees leave the event with new friends, better informed about MEDA’s creative business solutions to poverty and inspired with the mission of connecting their faith with their business and profession."
Adds member engagement coordinator Carol Eby-Good, "Seeing how much convention attendees enjoy being together and networking, and hearing that attendees are inspired by the presentations in the plenary sessions and seminars, makes my work behind the scenes deeply rewarding."
