
MEDA is recruiting to fill six internships around the world with funding from CIDA – Canadian International Development Agency. Internships help young people to launch their careers in international development by giving them hands-on experience.
Recruitment involves a series of telephone and face-to-face interviews with MEDA human resources, program managers in Waterloo and field project managers in the host country – Peru, Nicaragua and Egypt. Successful applicants receive a 3-4 day pre-departure orientation in Waterloo prior to their deployment Sept. 1.
CIDA internship eligibility:
Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants aged 19-29 who are recent graduates and have not had paid work in overseas development.
And in the US …
MEDA is also offering two MEDA-funded US internships in Haiti and Gulfport, Mississippi, for recent graduates in the US who are US citizens or landed immigrants.
