MEDA Trust is up and running!

Medatrust.org is now live on the World Wide Web!

Thanks to all of our testers and the whole MEDA Trust team, the website is up and running on all cylinders. The working poor are seeing a brighter future and North American donors are connecting directly with the women and men they are helping.

Have a peak for yourself! Start browsing the loan catalogue and you'll see entrepreneurs needing loans for shoe shops, hardware stores, mini-marts, beauty parlors, clothing stores, seamstress businesses, bakeries, poultry shops...the list goes on. There is something of interest for everyone.

You can browse the loans by category or by price The loans catalogue is refreshed on a weekly basis, so check back often and see more loans!

It's easy to get started. All you need to do is sign-up on the home page, add funds to your account and you're in business! If you need some more step by step guidance, just follow the MEDA Trust tutorial. It'll guide you all the way through.

You can fund loans on your own or you can start a group with your family, friends or colleagues. And if you decide to start a group, you can enjoy the fun of staying in touch through the on-line group forum. Suggest loans to each other and discuss on-line which loan deserves the most support.

And to make things even more dynamic, the loans you fund act as revolving loans. Once loans have been paid back, you are free to use those funds to support another loan. Your initial donation is used to help the working poor again and again.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for live web-casts from Nicaragua. MEDA Trust web- casts will feature a live video update from the field that includes interviews, footage and a behind the scenes look at microfinance in Nicaragua. Watch what's really going on from the comfort of your office or living room. But only those who signup for MEDA Trust can have access. So go to medatrust.org and sign-up!
