What keeps MEDA unique and innovative is that MEDA is an organization that values
and fosters a culture of creativity and innovation. This culture emerges from the
entrepreneurial spirit of the members which is reflected in the board and which inspires
staff.
In fifteen years at MEDA I have made my share of mistakes, but I have never felt that I
shouldn't be trying new things - many of which have worked quite well. New and
creative ideas will rarely emerge from an organization that is too afraid of making
mistakes.
At MEDA, we are fortunate to have such an organizational culture. We have enough
interaction with the development industry to know that this is a rare quality that should
continue to be encouraged and nurtured.
