I think my first exposure to MEDA was when my father took me to one of the lunches put on by the Winnipeg Chapter - that would have been in the early 90's. These lunches are a great opportunity to visit with friends and hear interesting speakers talk about how they reconcile their business lives with their Christian faith.

Over the years, I've been so impressed by how MEDA helps people help themselves that I joined the board of both MEDA Winnipeg and its local offspring, Opportunities for Employment (which has been recognized for how well it trains welfare recipients for full-time work). I am grateful for the opportunity to help these organizations achieve their goals.
