Saturday, November 4 - Exploring Vancouver's Sights
12:30 – 4:30 p.m. $119 CAD, boxed lunch included
As a visitor to Vancouver, it is wonderful to have an overview of the special landmarks, neighborhoods and geography of this cosmopolitan city. We begin with Stanley Park, Vancouver's first, largest, and most beloved urban park! Designated a national historic site of Canada, Stanley Park is a magnificent green oasis in the midst of the heavily built urban landscape of Vancouver. We will explore this 400-hectare natural West Coast rainforest and enjoy scenic views of water, mountains, sky, and majestic trees along Stanley Park's famous Seawall. Discover kilometers of trails, beautiful beaches, local wildlife, natural, cultural and historical landmarks, along with many other adventures. Vancouver is home to Canada’s largest Chinatown which we will also see as we drive through this unique area. Nearby is Gastown, Vancouver’s oldest neighborhood dating back to 1867. Today, the district retains its historic charm and independent spirit. Victorian architecture houses a thriving fashion scene, impeccably curated décor boutiques, one-of-a-kind galleries and some of the best culinary fare in Vancouver. Other areas of exploration include Granville Island Public Market for shopping and exploring artisan boutiques, food and shops.
Tour will provide an overview of the city of Vancouver with a boxed lunch.
