Thursday, November 2 - Fraser Valley Mennonite Roots and Businesses
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. $169 CAD, lunch included
After an early morning departure in a deluxe motor coach, we will proceed to the Mennonite Heritage Museum where our hosts will engage us with the Mennonite story through a variety of ways. Their goal is to preserve and document the history of Mennonites who came to British Columbia from Russia and Prussia/Poland by maintaining an historical library while also emphasizing the important role that agriculture has played in the lives of Mennonites throughout history, and amongst Mennonites in the Fraser Valley, B.C. today. We will enjoy lunch in their restaurant and before heading back to the hotel we will stop at local Mennonite businesses for tours of their operations.
Our first stop is at Innotech Windows + Doors, established at the turn of the century with the vision of manufacturing German engineered windows and doors that reach beyond industry standards. Nearly a decade later, they are proud to offer our customers a full line of high performance, energy efficient and long lasting windows and doors that are specifically designed for our North American climate, building codes and energy requirements.
Tour includes guided all-day tour with coach, lunch at the museum and visits to two local Mennonite businesses. Please wear closed-toe shoes.
