Internship Structure

  • 1 week orientation at head offices prior to departure
  • 6 month assignment in-country with a MEDA office or partner
  • All expenses paid (includes travel and stipend for accommodation/expenses)
  • For recent graduates with a bachelor's or master's degree


  • University degree, preferably master's, in business administration, international development or a related field
  • Flexible, independent, self-directed, and motivated
  • Skills and ability required to successfully perform the work assignment, based on work and/or volunteer experiences
  • Interest in international development work and career goals
  • Suitability/readiness for living and working in a cross-cultural environment
  • Previous experience living, volunteering or travelling in a developing country is an asset
  • Language capacity
  • Appreciation and support of MEDA's faith, values and goals
