Ben Sprunger, Carol J. Suter, and Wally Kroeker
Ben Sprunger is president of Mennonite Economic Development Associates. MEDA is a 3,000-member organization that promotes a Christian witness in the marketplace and operates development programs in ten countries. He previously operated his@01: own company, Life Skills International, helping public and private agencies develop programs in health, employment, and substance abuse. A former president of Bluffton College, Sprunger has also served as an executive with Quest International, a nonprofit agency specializing in drug and alcohol abuse programs. He and his wife, Sue, have three grown children. They attend Neil Avenue Mennonite Church in Columbus, Ohio.
Carol J. Suter is vice president and legal counsel for MEDA. Prior to joining MEDA in 1995, she was an attorney practicing in Ohio for fourteen years. Her practice focused on handling the management side of employment and labor matters. A former high school teacher, Suter served with MCC for three years in Jamaica. She and her husband, Eugene, are parents of two adult daughters. They live in Kansas City, Missouri, and are members of Rainbow Mennonite Church.
Wally Kroeker has worked in journalism since 1967, primarily in the areas of business and religion. Previously he worked for the Regina Leader-Post, Winnipeg Tribune, Saskatchewan Business Journal, Moody Monthly, and the Christian Leader. He currently edits The Marketplace, a magazine for Christians in business published by MEDA. He and his wife, Millie, have two married sons and a grandchild. They attend River East Mennonite Brethren Church in Winnipeg.
