Mennonite Economic Development Associates is governed by an association of members.  MEDA members join others in endorsing, embracing and promoting MEDA’s mission, vision and values.  In this sense, members are the core ownership group of MEDA.  The members present at the annual general meeting elect the Board of Directors and vote on all other matters presented.

Members are expected to provide an annual contribution to MEDA, to support MEDA’s mission and values, to be involved with MEDA events, as possible, and to attend, if possible, the annual general meeting of MEDA during the Business as a Calling convention.

MEDA membership is not tied to a specific contribution amount and provides no financial benefits to the member.

MEDA diligently protects individual personal and financial information.  However, the laws of Pennsylvania -- where MEDA is incorporated as a nonprofit membership association -- permit a member to request the names and addresses of other members of record through a legal process.  This has happened only rarely.
