Administration of National Sanctuary The Manglares de TumbesThe project goal is to improve the management of the protected natural area, incorporating the participation of the civil society, to reach the objectives of the National Sanctuary The Manglares de Tumbes.
Position – Value Chain Development InternThis internship will be best suited for someone with a BBA or MBA with an interest/focus in agriculture. Spanish language skills would be an asset.
The primary objective for this intern will be to work with field staff to identify one or two opportunities for resource mobilization. Key tasks:
- Scan, map, assess, apply MEDA's business modeling and design templates;
- Set goals, objectives and performance measurement framework;
- define initial implementation plans
- Identify and develop opportunities to communicate the work of the Tumbes project to partners and other audiences.
Length of Assignment
The length of the work assignment in country is six months. Interns will participate in a one week orientation and training in Waterloo, Ontario and be required to debrief and report back to MEDA staff in Waterloo upon return to Canada. The debriefing will include exercises aimed to facilitate successful re-entry to Canada and ongoing job search training and support.
