YouthInvest Egypt and Morocco
The project goal is to support Microfinance Institutions to develop savings and credit products to strengthen the capacity of youth-run enterprises in Egypt and Morocco
Position – Communication Development InternThis internship will be best suited for someone with a degree in business, human resources, communications or a related field. Knowledge of development concepts and principles is important. French language skills are essential.
The primary objective is to facilitate communication between partners in Egypt and Morocco. Key tasks include:
- With MEDA Maroc’s Knowledge Management specialist to design a peer learning strategy for partners in Egypt and Morocco
- Plan communications event for key partners to meet and share lessons learned
- Participate in first annual communications event (2 day internal workshop)
- Document processes and recommendations for Yr 2 intern
Length of AssignmentThe length of the work assignment in country is six months. Interns will participate in a one week orientation and training in Waterloo, Ontario and be required to debrief and report back to MEDA staff in Waterloo upon return to Canada. The debriefing will include exercises aimed to facilitate successful re-entry to Canada and ongoing job search training and support.
