MEDA's Microfinance (MF) Department:

• Applies business solutions to development challenges;
  
  
• Assists its partners to provide cost-effective, appropriate, and sustainable financial services to the poor in developing countries;
  
  
• Builds on the experience of MEDA and MEDA Consulting Group's 30 years of international consulting. MEDA has been directly involved in developing rural and urban microenterprise credit and training facilities in Haiti, Jamaica, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Tanzania, Russia, Mozambique, and Romania. Several of these programs have graduated to fully sustainable, independent financial institutions.
