October 4, 6:00pm—Kansas MEDA chapter meeting at Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church fellowship hall, 1020 E 14th Street, Harper, KS, the church is 1/2 mile east of Harper on Hwy 160. Tim Penner, president of Harper Industries, Inc., will speak at 7:00pm, at 7:30pm there will be a plant tour of Harper Industries, Inc. Tim says "integrating our faith and values in the workplace has been central to HII since it’s founding in 1998." HII sees MEDA as a resource to this endeavor. Each year HII sends 4 to 6 employees and spouses to the MEDA convention. HII also provides meeting space to the local MEDA investment club that meets the first Saturday of each month. This club was organized in 1998 and provides a forum for business and faith sharing and learning. Cost for the event is $15.00 per person.
